Cherie Hecht Founder of RLT Equine Sports Therapy has had a passion for equines and their health since her first pony at the age of 10. An avid competitor by the age of 12, Cherie started competing in show jumping and show hunters. She competed successfully throughout her junior years on the west coast and Canada. As a teenager Cherie was introduced into the world of equine sports therapy and nutrition and began her first internship by the age of 16 in Chinese medicine, muscle trigger therapy and kinesiology. This intro into equine health led her to attend Southern Seminary College in the Equine Science program in Lexington, Virginia.
During her early and mid-20’s Cherie traveled throughout Europe to continue in her training in the world of show jumping. While overseas, Cherie also continued with her education in equine nutrition and equine physical therapy.
After years of working and helping thousands of horses, it is Cherie’s belief that to find true balance and health in our equines, is to look at the whole picture and to have multiple avenues to create and maintain balance and health in the body. This is why Cherie has continued her education in multiple fields of therapies.
Currently Cherie is working on increasing her knowledge in several forms of therapy including EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EC2 (Emotional cellular Coding) and Emergence Process.
Cherie currently lives in Austin Texas.
